Being an entrepreneur requires you to have a consistent creative flow. Not only do you have to create an original idea but another part of the creative process is to innovate your product or service. Entrepreneurs have to be thinking about how they can make their product better for their customer which takes an enormous amount of time and creativity. If you are feeling stumped or drawing a blank trying to come up with a new creative idea, try these tactics to get your mind churning again for the next big thing.

Step Away From The Screen

Sometimes the best way to help your creativity is to take a break from your computer screen and focus on other things. Take a break from the office for a bit and go out and grab some coffee and a book to read. New scenery will help you relax and reset, so you are fresh with new ideas.

Include Other People

Another great way to get over your creative block is to surround yourself with people who have varying opinions on what you are doing. Different perspectives about your project can help you see things that you may not have been able to see by yourself. Constructive criticism is key to not only helping you with your creativity but also developing an excellent service or product for your business.

Traveling

Make that short trip away from your desk for coffee into a long trip away from your town. Consider getting away for a time and traveling around to places you want to visit. Traveling will expose you to cultures and places you have never encountered before. Traveling forces you to think on your feet and find creative solutions for problems that may arise. Seeing new places, meeting new people, and trying new food are all great ways to get your creative juices flowing for your next creative project.

Exercise

Physical activity doesn’t seem like the best way to get over your writer block, but in many ways, it can be. Exercise stimulates the brain giving way to new neural connections and pathways that can promote creativity. Many people use exercise as a way to disconnect from their everyday lives for a short amount of time. This disconnect can serve as a platform for creative thought and inspiration. Next time you are stuck on a project, consider going for a fifteen-minute walk to clear your head.
